Offline and online-authorized functions

Compatible offline configurations can support vehicle identification, fault reading and clearing, live data, selected tests, service functions and other software-dependent procedures. Coding, programming, component activation, security access, software downloads and protected functions can require a valid Porsche account, online connection and permissions.

Not included: Do not assume that a Porsche online account, PPN access, security credentials, server authorization or an ongoing manufacturer subscription is included with any package.

PT3G compared with PT4G

PT4G is the newer interface generation and is the starting point for compatible newer Porsche applications. PT3G can remain useful for supported earlier vehicles and software environments. Interface generation alone does not guarantee coverage: confirm the Porsche model, model year, software build and exact task before ordering.

Vehicle coverage

Coverage varies across Porsche platforms, model years, control units and software releases. Newer electric vehicles and protected functions can have additional hardware, software and authorization requirements. Send KKS the vehicle details and required procedure for confirmation.

Laptop, updates and support

The complete-set variant includes a configured laptop; interface-only and software-only variants do not. Confirm the laptop model and condition before dispatch. Software versions and update arrangements change over time, so the current build and any included update period should be confirmed on the order.

Just wanted to check back in here, the gps has been working flawlessly. That one day I had gps issues seems like an isolated glitch or maybe an iOS issue. Very happy with the unit. drove a couple hours today, everything worked flawlessly again, including gps. At this point, it seems clear to me that it’s worth $1200, given that there’s no loss of functionality and it either fully works, or very nearly fully works, and likely will improve.

Just bought the McLaren Diagnostic System (MDS) from KKS and wanted to share my experience. So, a bit about me: I'm from Taiwan and I own a 720S. I love DIY stuff, so I needed an MDS. I saw KKS selling the McLaren MDS Official Diagnostic Tool Kit and reached out on WhatsApp. They replied quickly and were super smooth with the pre-sale service. But I was a bit worried it might be a scam since they’re a new account with 0 reviews. To be safe, I suggested meeting up in person to test the MDS. They were cool with it, so I made a small deposit and booked a same-day return flight to Hong Kong. KKS even offered to pick me up from the airport in their McLaren. When I got there, they let me test the MDS on their car, and it worked perfectly, reading all the data correctly. Back in Taiwan, I connected the MDS to my 720S and it also works fine. I'm still studying the MDS to learn how to use all the functions properly. 5 stars to KKS! They sell legit stuff and their service is top-notch. Highly recommend them!

Dear KKS-Team, thank you for developing that Box for my McLaren 720 S. It is simply awesome, and works perfectly reliable. Easy to use easy to install itself by plugging in 3 cable to the car slots. Just plug it in and connect your phone, done. The only challenge is getting to the slots. Herefor you need to unmount the back wall of the interior., this is quite tricky for unexperienced DIY guys like me, but surely possible. And this is due to the car not to the box. It’s is a real upgrade for the car, because the standard IRIS system is, as owners know, not quite the best. The rest is clear you operate Apple CarPlay, which is the same as you know Thank you so much Thomas Besides that I’m writing from Germany, so please excuse misspelling…. It’s not my native language. 😉

Great unit, worked exactly as promised. Needed to recalibrate a power seat after replacing a faulty seat module and reset the airbag fault. The cost of having this work performed at the nearest dealership 200 miles away would probably exceeded the price of the MDS. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to the lack of documentation. Fortunately it was easy enough to figure out what all the acronyms stand for and how to perform basic functions. Well done KKS.
